It is essential to consider the methodology that has been applied when conducting a wine classification. SAWi has successfully deployed an analysis of data that suits the characteristics of luxury brands. An index system has proved to be the most effective, as it allows the consideration of multiple features while successfully measuring a wine’s performance over multi-vintages.
Indices provide useful benchmarks and can be implemented to serve various functions. The methodology is based on an algorithm, which, in this case, generates a score out of 100. This value represents a given wine’s overall multi-vintage quality. The SAWi rating therefore provides a valid measurement of the quality status of a particular wine.
